Well I've been thinking about stop motion a bit more the past couple of days. So I decided to finish one of my puppets. I would say that it is the pinnacle of my stop-motion-ness so far. It's quite animate-able. And it has no clay, or plasticine, which should keep a few of my hairs still intact. It's taken me over 30 hours to complete. Then only thing that I'm not sure of is his eyebrows. I'm thinking they might be to big, but at the same time that kind of makes him cartoony. So I don't know... I'll probably do a test or something in the time to come. Anyways, here's a couple of pics of his top half. I probably should have got a full body pic. I guess I'll do that at some point later. The second picture kind of looks like Elijah Wood a little, in my humble opinion, lol.

Well the Jamaica video that I was working on got put on hold, then I decided to take a break. I did'nt really get to capture much good audio...so it just has lots of music. So yeah, not really great editting material.
I made a music video and song called "Snowman's requim" and I just made a short bit called "Dangerous man". You can check those out on my youtube page http://www.youtube.com/user/Rokinentertanement
Lately my life has been becoming a little rocky. My job at Movie Gallery has slowed down to me working 3.5hrs this week. Last week was 7 hours. I'm trying to find another paying job, but it's not a walk in the park. I'm also wanting to start going to our community college here. So that I can get job that pays above minimum wage. I'm not all that sure of what degree I should try to get.
Ultimately I'd like to make a living as a musician of a film maker. But it's hard to get into that business and the college degrees that you can get don't really help you attain to that goal. So yeah, I'm thinking I want to get a degree in something that pays well and that I can get a job doing. I really want to get a degree in something that I like though. Hard decisions.
Anyways, that's enough talk of my problems and unsuccesfullness. On saturday I went to see Stryper in Port Richey,FL. And that was alot of fun. Also it was quite encouraging to the musical side of me. Manic Drive and Flight Patterns were the opening bands. Manic Drive's electric guitarist was doing like robotic moves most of the time. It was really cool and funny at the same time.
And today, well yesterday, I went to see Jason Castro in Port Richey, Fl. That was alot of fun. There were tons and tons of girls there. There were only a few guys. Which I think is odd because he's a pretty good musician. Not just some woman's eye candy. I got him to sign the back of my threadless "Birds of a feather" shirt and got a picture of him doing so. And here is also a short video of him coming onto thee stage. Video curtiscy of my mom.

I figured I should probably update this to some point in time, which is now. I got back from Jamaica. I video taped 3.5 hours or so of footage, so I'm currently working on editting that into a nice little video. It's taking me a bit of time, to get that together. Because it seems every scene has it's own artist problems that need to be fixed. And everything needs to be perfectly placed where I want it. I like to have everything exactly where I want it and if I can't do that then I improvise... I've been trying to spend an hour or two a day doing that. I think I've editted 5 minutes worth of final video product so far.
If you examine my previous posts, you'll see that I was working on making a stopmotion film. Well 2, sort of, I was helping doing the audio for one. Don Carlson, the guy who's doing all the real work, is still working away at the film "Blue Alien Summer". I think he mentioned at one point that he would be done around Spring 2010. I'm excited about that.
And the stopmotion film that I was working on by myself... Well, my friend and half colege, Reggie Lloyd-Jones had a thought, which was one that was also in my mind. See I was planning on using my mini dv cam with a firewire cord to shoot the movie, so it would be in standard definition and stuff. I had mentioned that I wanted to get a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50, and he suggested that I wait and buy that, then shoot the film. Because theres a big difference in quality and resolution. So that kind of stuck with me.
Only problem with that is I don't make to much income. Moving onto now, I plan on getting better job anyday here. See about 2 years ago I worked at the nuclear plant as a laborer, during there outage. So, I'm planning on them hiring me again, anyday now, would be nice.
Well, that's all for now. See ya!

Thee guitar
Right, so I mentioned a bit ago that I got a new electric guitar. I decided to take some pictures on the fly here. There not that well taken. Here it is. My new Jackson Sl2h that's made in Japan. It is a limited edition Sam Ash model thingy. For the specs you can check it out here http://www.samash.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product__-1_10052_10002_-49988798?ovtac=CMP&langId=-1&ovcpn=Sam+Ash+TL&catalogId=10002&ItemID=58323&AffiliateID=615&pagetype=showitem&ovchn=NXT&ovcrn=58323&storeId=10052

I got done recording the alien voice for Don Carlson's film(I talked about that last post). And so now I'm back to working on my little stopmotion, shin dig, I guess you could say. I came to the conclusion that I was'nt all about my previous script for the movie. So I ended up writing a new one, which is looking to be acceptable to my standards. It's finished but I'm thinking about throwing in some scenes inbetween the ones I've already written. And tonight I've been working on the set. It's an out doorsey scene, which happens to be the first scene. I might post some pictures when I get done making the first set. But we shall see.

Greetings, not to many new things have happend. I'm doing some voice acting for a new friend' stopmotion film. I play a meanie, generally speaking lol. The new friend's name is Don Carlson and you can check out his blog if you'd like, I'm currently following it. I think he estimated it to be around 7 minutes long or so, and that it would take him around a year to complete. So I'll be posting a link to it then =D.
I also bought a new electric guitar. I don't feel like taking a picture of it right now, I'll probably take a picture at some point in the future and post it. It's a Jackson soloist with an original floyd rose tremola, the neck goes through the body, and it has Seymour Duncan pickups. 2 humbuckers that is, a Jb in the bridge and a 59' in the neck postion. It's has like a trans blue finish, with white neck binding and looks pretty hot. Apparently it's a limited edition made in Japan model that was exclusive to Sam Ash. For an exclusive amount of time. I never knew such a guitar existed till I saw it. I got it on St. Patricks day, so I'm thinking about giving it an Irish name. Maybe Patrick... I don't know really... I got a killer deal on it by thee way. Only 450 male deers.
Farewell, I got to go wash some dishes. We shall chat again at somepoint. Probably in the future. =D

Greetings, I'm currently eating "Hershey kisses filled with mint truffel", they are really excilerating. This is the first year I've ever known about there very existance. Blows my mind... Anyways, Happy belated epiphany! If you are not familiar with the holiday then......I'm just going to leave it at that.
Wow, It's been almost 2 months since my last update, that's K to the crazy. Time flies like an swallow migrating. Well, african swallow that is. Surely it does'nt fly like a european swallow, that's for sure.
My current filmical (yes that's a word, I just made it up :P) project involves a stopmotion short. Currently I'm working on thee, puppets, sets, and props. However I've only managed to make 1 and a half puppets so far. Due to some things/activites that came up. The 1 puppet I finished took me around 14-15 hours to finish. I try to make them just the way I want, and the're turning out that way. That's why, I'm guessing they take me so long. Like time flies like an african swallow thats on crack, when I've been working on the puupets. It's not like uberly fun making them either, however I enjoy making them, if that makes sense. Ya... Anyways I hope to be working on that project a bunch more, now that I have somemore free time. I'm thinking that the short will be about 2-3 minutes long. I don't plan on posting any pictures of the WIP (Work in Progress) because I don't want someone changing my mind on the vision of the project. I find that when people recommend ideas to me then I use them, then later as time goes on I relise that I would have liked my previous thoughts better. Ya, kinda weird. Oh, if your wondering why I typed WIP then just typed the meaning after it...I don't know why I did it either. It seems like it would save time and *insert noun here* if I would have left out the abbreviation or the definition of the abbreviation. :/
Anyways, I'm done eating the chocolates. By the way, I don't eat much chocolate if you did'nt know. I just tend to go on chocolate bendges every now and again.
Kung fu panda is a great movie, go check that out. Here are my favorite lines from it.
"We are soup folk, broth runs through our veins" That's such a uniquely conjured up line. Like at first listen you might think it's overly lame. But it feels new to me.
"We use that for the children, and to keep the door open when it's hot" That's an insane line right there!
"Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. And today? Today is a gift. That’s why we call it the present" That line is pure epic plus 2 tablespoons of awesome. With a hint of paprika. Sautated on med-hi for 4 minutes.
